Sephardic Music From the eighth century in Spain started childbearing age and never repeated exchange between the three major traditional cultures that inhabited the land of the Iberian peninsula at that time: Jewish, Christian and Muslim.
The region of Spain where this phenomenon of cultural exchange and circulation gains more importance is the South: the 'current Andalusia (or Al-Andalus in Arabic), which becomes a real and its cultural beacon, with its own personality, illuminating the whole of Europe from its most important capitals: Granada and Cordoba.

'here and now that is born Sephardic music (in Hebrew "Sepharad" is the biblical site that identifies the peninsula, the old "Hispania"), conveyed orally transmitted through the traditional poetry in "Ladino" (literary language mixture of Hebrew and English ..) and vocation clearly modal use of color components, the result of Arab-Turkish influence.
"The Rose", a group formed by three musicians of different origins (Spain, Italy, Switzerland), wants to remember and honor this spirit of coexistence, tolerance and exchange so necessary in our time, restoring and interpreting this symbolic repertoire in a free and creative. Starting from the instrumentation, (combination of voice, cello and clarinet) and coming up to form, which remains open and alive since improvisation is an important aspect in each of these interpretations of traditional melodies.
